Morey is missing! With this squad, Borussia Dortmund is going on a US tour

Borussia Dortmund have announced their 30-man squad for the USA tour. At the training camp in the United States of America, right-back Mateu Morey will be one of only three professionals to stay at home. Morey and Soumaila Coulibaly will train individually in Dortmund. Substitute goalkeeper Silas Ostrzinski is also not flying with the summer preparation.

Although Mateu Morey recently got back into the game, he played 45 minutes in the friendlies against Westfalia Rhynern and Rot-Weiss Oberhausen, he is missing in the USA squad. How sports1 reported, Morey no longer plays a role in the plans of the black and yellow. He could leave Borussia with a suitable offer.

Most recently, Edin Terzic announced that they wanted to “accompany him” when he returned from a long injury phase. Due to two knee injuries almost in a row, Morey has only been able to play one game for the U23s since May 2021.

Instead of Silas Ostrzinski, who has often been in the professional squad, last year’s U19 keeper Marian Kirsch surprisingly travels to the USA with the professionals. With Hendry Blank, Guille Bueno, Samuel Bamba and Paul Besong, there are four other youngsters from the U23s in the America squad.

Forward talent Julian Rijkhoff will not fly, he is going to the U23. Nnamdi Collins, Paris Brunner, Prince Aning, Rafael Lubach and Kjell Wätjen, who recently played in friendlies, will remain in Germany with the second team.

The squad for the training camp in the USA may soon be given another name. Marcel Sabitzer was spotted in Dortmund on Monday morning, he is there for a medical check-up. How sky reported, the Austrian should make his way to the United States after the transfer with BVB.
