New contract? Youssoufa Moukoko is probably demanding a whopping salary increase

Contract negotiations between Borussia Dortmund and Youssoufa Moukoko enter the next round. As the picture reports, the 17-year-old places two specific conditions.

Moukoko is therefore demanding a salary of six million euros so that he can extend his contract, which expires in 2023. BVB’s current offer would be four million euros.

According to the report, the youngster also demands a sporting appreciation in addition to the financial one – Moukoko wants more playing time.

Last season, the youngster only made 22 appearances with 358 minutes of play, which corresponds to around four full games over 90 minutes for the professionals. This season there are already nine games with 270 minutes (three full games).

Under coach Edin Terzic, Moukoko gets significantly more minutes. He recently repaid the trust with his winning goal in the Revierderby. Nevertheless, Anthony Modeste is still considered a “top striker”, as the BVB coach recently explained.

Negotiations between Borussia Dortmund and Moukoko about a new contract have been reportedly stalled for months. Further talks are probably planned after the World Cup break in winter.

There is a simple reason for this: Moukoko will be 18 years old on November 20th and will therefore have full legal capacity. Then he could negotiate and sign his contract without his parents.
