Eintracht Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche continues to look calmly at the speculation about top striker Randal Kolo Muani.
The Frenchman has “a long-term contract, we don’t have to set him a deadline,” said Krösche on Friday. In addition, Kolo Muani “never said that he wanted to leave now”.
You have to “leave the church in the village” and success “does not just depend on one player,” said the 42-year-old with a view to a possible departure of last season’s top scorer. Krösche is positive about the current squad, but “one or the other will happen on the transfer market, we’ll have to wait and see,” he said.
For the new coach Dino Toppmöller, the team currently looks “very good”, and he also spoke out in favor of Kolo Muani staying. He was also satisfied with the two newcomers Ellyes Skhiri and Robin Koch. “It’s important to have players in the central positions who have experienced a few things,” said the coach.
