BVB, rumour: No offer for Álvarez yet

Borussia Dortmund is apparently in no hurry to plan the squad for the coming season. Despite Jude Bellingham’s upcoming move to Real Madrid, the Englishman’s successor is not yet in sight.

One of the most promising candidates is Edson Álvarez from Ajax Amsterdam. According to information from skyReporter Florian Plettenberg has not yet made any moves or efforts towards a transfer from BVB.

Dortmund neither agreed with the player about a change, nor did they make an official offer for the 25-year-old at Ajax.

Álvarez, on the other hand, would obviously like to play in Dortmund next season. According to the report, despite concrete offers from two other clubs, the Mexican is playing for time to wait for an answer from BVB.

BVB, News: Brandt finds emotional words after title bankruptcy

Two days after the bitter bankruptcy in the championship duel against FC Bayern Munich, BVB midfielder Julian Brandt spoke up in an emotional Instagram statement and thanked the fans for the numerous and loud support.

“Sometimes it takes days before you can really comment on what’s going on inside you,” Brandt wrote at the beginning. “Borussia Dortmund is Ruhrpott, Borussia Dortmund is sometimes uncomfortable. Borussia Dortmund is unembellished and honest. Borussia Dortmund has rough edges and that’s a good thing.”

In the past season, he was once again clearly shown “what it means to be Borussia. What it’s like to share a huge disappointment with so many people and to understand what Borussia Dortmund really is,” he said Brandt further.

He thanked the fans for the “criticism, both positive and negative” and “your support every year.”
