Coach Daniel Farke and Borussia Mönchengladbach go their separate ways after just one year. The Bundesliga club confirmed this on Friday after the announced analysis of the season, without naming a successor.
Under Farke, Gladbach had delivered their weakest season in twelve years with 43 points and tenth place. Farke’s contract ran until 2025.
For the third year in a row, Borussia is starting a new season with a new coach. A year ago, Adi Hütter also announced his departure after the last matchday.
The main candidate for Farke’s successor is ex-professional Eugen Polanski (37), who last led Gladbach’s U23s to third place in the regional league. In addition, the former Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane is traded.
