Oliver Glasner confidently: "Going to Munich to win there"

After the first competitive win under coach Oliver Glasner, Eintracht Frankfurt is tackling the task at the record champions Bayern Munich with new self-confidence. “We are going to Munich to win there. I say that with full conviction,” emphasized Glasner before the Bundesliga game on Sunday (5.30 p.m. / DAZN): “I would like to see that in the eyes of the players too.”

Despite all the euphoria after the victory at Royal Antwerp in the Europa League (1-0), Glasner is aware of the strengths of Munich. “FC Bayern has everything. Individually on the wings, in central defense, the world’s best goalkeeper, the world’s best striker, the best double-six I know and a coach with all facets,” said the Austrian.

After the grueling game in Antwerp, there are still question marks about the stakes of several players. Makoto Hasebe and Martin Hinteregger were hurt, Glasner said, Erik Durm could be available again after a concussion. Evan Ndicka (ligament stretching) and Christopher Lenz (fiber tear), on the other hand, are still out.
