Coach Pal Dardai from Bundesliga club Hertha BSC has left his future as head coach with the Berliners open after relegation.
“I never apply. We will definitely talk about a few things, but we are still far enough to think about my future,” said Dardai after the 1-1 (0-0) win against VfL Bochum on Saturday evening.
Hertha had looked after the club veteran with the rescue mission in mid-April. Dardai was ultimately unable to prevent the seventh Bundesliga relegation in the club’s history. His contract ends at the end of the season.
Dardai announced a “written analysis” that he would submit to the club. “I’m always honest. We’ll see how the club sees it,” said Dardai, who initially wants to focus on the last game of the season at VfL Wolfsburg next Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky): “When the time comes, we can let’s talk about things.”
