Guerreiro, who is most often used at left-back but can also play in the eighth position, has played for three clubs in his career. Before he came to BVB in 2016, he hunted for points in the French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 for the clubs SM Caen and FC Lorient. However, the 29-year-old only won his first club title in Germany. Years later, Guerreiro also won the DFL Supercup (2019/20) with Dortmund, before winning the cup again in the 2020/21 season. The only thing missing is the Bundesliga cup. He missed this on the last day of the season that just ended. As a player in the Portuguese national team, Guerreiro won the European Championship in 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2019.

Although Guerreiro spends most of his time on the pitch as a full-back, his stats are more like an attacking player. At BVB, “Rapha” scored 40 goals in 224 games and played 50 more.
