RB fans with banners against Julian Nagelsmann and Joshua Kimmich

In the Bundesliga top match between RB Leipzig and FC Bayern Munich (1: 4), fans of the home side took on former Leipzig Joshua Kimmich and coach Julian Nagelsmann with a banner. Meanwhile, there were arguments between spectators and stewards in the Bayern fans’ block, and the police had to intervene.

In the first half, the Leipzig fans unfurled a banner against Kimmich and ex-coach Nagelsmann with the words: “@Joshua, Julian. Rub your hands and laugh. You never made a name for yourself here anyway!”

Another banner against Kimmich read: “@ Joshua: Learned to win in Leipzig and now succumb to Bavarian arrogance.” Kimmich (26) played in Leipzig from 2013 to 2015 and then moved to Bayern.

Nagelsmann had made his way to Munich that summer. He go “with full anticipation into the game and don’t tremble if a few people whistle. Even if there are 34,000”, he said at the press conference on Friday.

He took the whistles with which he was received in the stadium opposite Sky calmly: “That didn’t come as a surprise”, he said, “that’s a bit normal, emotions are part of football, everything is okay.”

Leipzig – Bavaria: tumult in the fan block – police intervene

In the second half there were also tumultuous scenes in the guest block of Bayern fans: Because they had arguments with the stewards, some police officers came to the scene. As the image reported, it was about a “F * ck RB”-Banner in the Bayern block, the folder should have asked the fans to take this off. Nevertheless, there were fisticuffs afterwards

Most of the police left the block after a few minutes, and the situation calmed down again. Nevertheless, a few policemen stayed in the block until the end of the game, the Bayern fans were only able to leave the stadium with a delay.
