It was a scene that caused a stir, especially on social media: After FC Bayern lost 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the DFB Cup against SC Freiburg, Jamal Musiala coach Christian Streich refused to shake hands.
Streich apparently wanted to comfort the Bayern youngster, who caused the all-important penalty for Freiburg with a handball in added time. But the 20-year-old just walked away.
“Anyone who knows me knows how sad and in the tunnel I was at that moment. As promised, a jersey will be available on Saturday,” Musiala wrote on Twitter the day after the end of the cup.
On Saturday, Munich will meet Freiburg again. This time the game of the 27th Bundesliga matchday is on the program in Breisgau.
