BVB, News: Reschke warns against investing in Haaland

Industry expert Michael Reschke thinks another twist is conceivable in the Erling Haaland case. “I have read and I also think it is realistic that BVB is trying to buy Haaland’s exit clause. You may not buy it entirely, but you can try to increase it. That’s a mathematical equation afterwards,” said the former technical Director of FC Bayern in the ran Bundesliga web show.

According to various reports, the release clause for Haaland next summer is between 75 and 80 million euros. Those responsible at BVB had recently no longer denied the existence of such a clause. But Reschke warns against focusing too much on Haaland financially.

“If Haaland stays with Borussia Dortmund in the coming season, that will make a huge difference economically to a departure,” said Reschke, speaking of a sum “between 80 and 100 million euros”.

On the one hand there is the transfer fee that the club receives in the event of a sale, as well as the salary savings. “Or, on the other hand, an additional investment in Haaland, maybe to buy a clause or extend the contract, that’s an amazing range,” he said. If Haaland were extended, BVB might not have the financial means to invest in other areas.

If the Norwegian leaves the club, according to Reschke, it is important to be able to invest as much time as possible in finding a successor. It is therefore understandable that the club is trying to make a decision. “The earlier a decision is made, the better and more important it is for Borussia Dortmund,” said Reschke.

BVB, rumors: duel with Bayern for Hlozek?

Borussia Dortmund is apparently facing competition from Bayern Munich when it comes to recruiting the talented striker Adam Hlozek. That reports the image. According to this, Bayern’s sports director Hasan Salihamidzic has already dealt intensively with the 19-year-old from Sparta Prague.

However, Dortmund could guarantee Hlozek significantly more playing time than the rival from the south if Erling Haaland were to leave. In Munich, Hlozek would first have to line up behind Robert Lewandowski. Another plus point for BVB: ex-star Tomas Rosicky, who was still on the field with Dortmund’s future sports director Sebastian Kehl, has been responsible for sport at the top Czech club since 2018.

Hlozek was the top scorer in the Czech Republic last season and has five goals and eleven assists in 18 league games this season. He also scored once in the Europa League.

BVB, News: Zwayer reports death threats

After his announced time-out, referee Felix Zwayer spoke up and reported massive hostility after the top game between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich.

“There have been a lot of messages on my work email account that are unbelievable and that are very difficult to deal with and ignore,” said Zwayer, who was at the center of heated discussions at the beginning of December because of his management of the Bundesliga cracker sky.

The 40-year-old continues: “I was written to by the Berlin police that there was a death threat against me on the Internet. And these are things that I couldn’t hide from my wife, especially because they were incredibly close to me.”

You try to “load this backpack and pick it up and say goodbye to your wife in the door like you have for 15 years. And then you see her bursting into tears. Not because she misses me, because you are gone, but because she cares about me,” reports Zwayer.
