RB Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco reacted with surprise to the dismissal of Marco Rose at runner-up Borussia Dortmund.
“I think it’s crazy, I have to say. It came as a surprise to me,” said the 36-year-old, who is in the DFB Cup final with Leipzig against SC Freiburg on Saturday.
It was “always difficult to tell something from outside,” said Tedesco after BVB’s decision: “Of course, only the club knows the club’s goals.”
The RB coach recognizes a trend in the professional business in Dortmund’s approach. “This is current football,” he said. Christian Streich also agreed with Tedesco’s words and added: “What else can one say about that?”
Dortmund parted ways with coach Rose on Friday after just a year.
