The comeback of Bayern Munich’s superstar Sadio Mané is getting closer: The 30-year-old offensive player took part in the German record champions’ team training for the first time on Sunday.
Mané may be available again next Sunday (5.30 p.m.) in the top Bundesliga game against Union Berlin.
“He’s in great shape, does everything and has no more problems,” coach Julian Nagelsmann emphasized on Friday. Mané could “play again” after a week of training.
In mid-November he tore a tendon on his right fibula head and, following the operation, missed the World Cup with Senegal.
Noussair Mazraoui is also expected to return on Wednesday. The Tunisian had been out since the World Cup with a myocarditis.
