BVB, News: Emre Can complains about last year
Midfielder Emre Can was pleased with BVB’s good start to the new football year. He doesn’t look back fondly on the past season. “I’m really happy about that, because last year – to put it in plain English – I only got my face in the face. It was mostly justified, but not always,” explained Can in an interview sky.
He himself was not satisfied with his performance either. Especially in the last half of the year, Can struggled with fluctuating performances. “I also know that the first half of the season wasn’t good, but the last performance gave me confidence and I’m trying to continue now,” he said. Can was one of the best Dortmunders when they won in Leverkusen.

We have to play exactly the way we played in Leverkusen. Then we can be successful.”
With 34 points from 18 games, Dortmund are only three points behind leaders Bayern Munich. Before the winter break, the gap was nine points.
BVB, Rumour: Deal with Iván Fresneda planned for summer
BVB actually wanted to sign Iván Fresneda in the winter transfer window. With Real Valladolid, however, they could not agree on a change, which is why the deal burst.

BVB, News: Shinji Kagawa returns to Japan
Former Dortmund champion Shinji Kagawa returns to his native Japan after twelve and a half years in Europe. The midfielder, who won the Bundesliga title with BVB in 2011 and 2012, is moving to Cerezo Osaka, where his professional career once began. From there, Kagawa moved to Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2010.
Under coach Jürgen Klopp, Kagawa caught the eye of Alex Ferguson, who brought him to Manchester United in 2012. Kagawa also won the title in his first year in the Premier League, but under Ferguson’s successor David Moyes he played less often and returned to BVB. Overall, he completed 148 Bundesliga games (41 goals).
After his second departure from Dortmund in 2019, Kagawa toured Europe and was signed by Besiktas Istanbul, Real Zaragoza, PAOK Saloniki and most recently VV St. Truiden in Belgium.
