"Something else will happen"

Sports director Sebastian Kehl announced another transfer after Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 win against Bayer Leverkusen on matchday one.

“I think promptly. We are on the right track. We will have clarity in the next few days,” explained Kehl am skymicrophone and added: “What we do will fit.”

New signing Sebastien Haller is missing from BVB for several months after the 28-year-old was diagnosed with a malignant testicular tumor. There is therefore a need for action in the striker position.

Managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke had already announced during the week that a Haller replacement would be committed “ideally in the next eight to ten days”.

Youssoufa Moukoko was the sole lead in the DFB Cup and in the Bundesliga opener against the Werkself. “Unloading” everything on the shoulders of the 17-year-old is “perhaps a bit much,” said Watzke.

In the past few weeks, BVB had reportedly been offered several strikers, including Edin Dzeko and Edinson Cavani. Anthony Modeste and Memphis Depay have also been linked to Dortmund.

In addition, a fan started on the crowdfunding platform Home Next a fundraiser to fund a Cristiano Ronaldo transfer.
