The Bundesliga side Hertha BSC, threatened with relegation, has to cope with a personnel setback after the defeat in the Berlin derby. Attacker Stevan Jovetic tore a thigh muscle in the 4-1 home defeat against city rivals Union on Saturday. The capital club announced this on Monday.
The Montenegrin striker, who has scored six goals in 17 Bundesliga games this season, is unavailable for the time being. According to the club, former internationals Marvin Plattenhardt and Niklas Stark, offensive player Kelian Nsona and goalkeepers Rune Jarstein and Alexander Schwolow started the training week with individual units.
Five games before the end of the season, Hertha is one point behind the first non-relegation zone as the penultimate table, but has a significantly worse goal difference than the direct competition from Bielefeld and Stuttgart.
