Talent Grant-Leon Ranos makes dream debut for Armenia national team

Maria KeaneBayern talent Grant-Leon Ranos has scored a brace on his debut for Armenia’s senior team.
In the 2-2 draw in a friendly against Cyprus, the youngster was almost single-handedly responsible for the draw with his two goals. In the 50th minute he scored to make it 1-1, only nine minutes later he scored another goal.
“First game, first goals! What a feeling!” wrote the 19-year-old, who would have been eligible to play for Germany, on his Instagram account after the game.
In 2018, Ranos switched from Borussia Dortmund’s youth team to FC Bayern’s U16s. At the German record champions, he then went through all the other youth departments before he was called up to the Munich second team last summer.
There he is a regular player in the Bavarian Regionalliga. In 26 games, the striker scored 15 goals and prepared a further eight goals. His contract with FCB runs until 2023.
