FC Bayern has signed defender Tarek Buchmann (18) to a professional contract. FCB officially announced on Friday that the young central defender had signed a contract that ran until 2026. SPOX and GOAL had already reported this in advance.
Buchmann was delighted on the record champions’ website: “It’s a great honor for me to sign my first professional contract with FC Bayern. I know what a privilege it is to play for this club. The club has always given me great support and encouragement , I feel great confidence.”
Bayern’s CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said of the teenager: “He has developed very well in sport over the past few years and now he has the opportunity to take the next step with us.”
Buchmann moved to FC Bayern from the FC Augsburg youth team in 2019. There he went through the U16 and U17 before he was used in the U19 last season. Liverpool FC and Ajax showed according to information from SPOX and GOAL are also interested in the talented defender.
Buchmann appeared in 18 competitive games last season. The German junior international scored a goal and provided an assist.
