BVB, rumour: Terzic instead of Rose? BVB bosses probably disagree

At BVB there still seems to be disagreement about how to assess Marco Rose’s current performance. Matthias Sammer is said to be critical of coach Marco Rose continuing to work at BVB. As the sports picture reported that he had a great influence on Hans-Joachim Watzke. The managing director is currently torn. With sports director Michael Zorc and his successor Sebastian Kehl, Rose still has sufficient support.

According to the report, Sammer can well imagine Edin Terzic returning to the head coaching chair. The 39-year-old should therefore feel very comfortable in his new role. Only in an emergency would he be willing to take over the post. The pressure on Marco Rose should be great in the coming season given the mixed season. In the current season, BVB has not yet managed to win more than four competitive games in a row.

BVB, rumor: Will DFB President Watzke snatch a UEFA post?

After ex-vice president Rainer Koch offered to withdraw from the executive committee, many assumed that Hans-Joachim Watzke would take over the post as first vice president of the DFB and head of the DFL supervisory board. Now this could be snatched from him by the new DFB President Bernd Neuendorf, like that sports picture reported.

All important decisions in European club football are made in the UEFA Exko. A task for which Watzke is predestined with his top network and as an ECA board member. However, as DFB president, Neuendorf has not yet cleared the way for the BVB managing director. The reason for the indecision could therefore be that he sees the step with a view to the 2024 European Championship in Germany as indispensable.
