These youngsters should now get playing time

Now that it’s clear that Bayern Munich is the champion, a few FCB youngsters are getting more playing time. Bayern got the championship trophy at the unusual time and there was praise for Hasan Salihamidzic – from long-term critic Lothar Matthäus. All news and rumors about FC Bayern can be found here.

FC Bayern, News: Youngsters should get more playing time

FC Bayern is once again early champion. Time to give some players off the bench more playing time. That’s how coach Julian Nagelsmann sees it: “We’ll change a bit and give one or the other young player more chances,” announced the Bayern coach and named Paul Wanner, Gabriel Vidovic and Josip Stanisic: “They can play more minutes at the highest level, without pressure.” Nagelsmann sees the “chance to do something for the minute account of some.”

But even slightly older players like Marc Roca or Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting can now look forward to more presence. They should be involved in Nagelsmann’s final project: “We want to end the season well and score a few more goals.”

FC Bayern, News: Shell not on Saturday this time

The last two Bundesliga match days actually belong to Saturday – nine games at the same time, all at 3.30 p.m. and the champion gets the championship trophy in the home game. But that was it. The DFL is breaking new ground and that’s why the championship trophy for FC Bayern isn’t on a Saturday this time, but on a Sunday.

Background: The DFL has decided to split the 33rd match day and have games take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Since FC Bayern only meets VfB Stuttgart on Sunday, the ceremony of handing over the title will only take place on Sunday after the game. Kick-off is at 5.30 p.m. and even after that the game RB Leipzig – FC Augsburg will continue.
