FC Bayern often celebrated their championships with thousands of fans at Marienplatz.

FC Bayern Munich no longer has the championship in their own hands in 2023. Nevertheless, a championship celebration is planned. You can find out how this should work here.

Championship celebrations have been a habit at FC Bayern Munich in recent years. There has only been one German champion since 2013: FC Bayern. Except in the Corona years, this was always celebrated with the fans on Marienplatz.

This year the champion could not be called Bayern Munich. Before the last day of the game, the record champions are two points behind BVB. Coach Thomas Tuchel’s team has to win at 1. FC Köln on Saturday and at the same time hope that BVB won’t win against Mainz 05 at the same time. If that is the case, there will of course be another championship celebration.

FC Bayern Munich: This is how FCB plans the championship celebration

The city of Munich announced about a week ago that FC Bayern would celebrate in front of their fans on the balcony of the town hall on Sunday, May 28th, if they won the championship. On dpa-Demand was explicitly confirmed that the invitation from Mayor Dieter Reiter (SPD) applies to both the men’s and women’s teams.

The start of the championship celebration was set for 5.30 p.m., as the Bayern women were still playing their last Bundesliga game against Potsdam at 2 p.m. A draw against the bottom of the table is enough for the championship – that should be more than possible. If the men of FC Bayern don’t become champions, but the women do, there will still be a celebration on Sunday at Marienplatz – albeit on a smaller scale.

According to information from Bild, in the event of the championship, the celebrations should begin on Saturday evening – in the Freimann district of Munich in the “Motorworld” at a huge party in lederhosen and dirndl. According to the picture, the team will definitely go to “Motorworld” on Saturday, even if they don’t win the championship – but then not in Bavarian costume and much less in a party mood.
