Marc Roca has a difficult time at Bayern.

Marc Roca, Michael Cuisance and Bouna Sarr have long been on the sidelines at Bayern, but defensive jewel Tanguy Nianzou has only played a subordinate role in the plans of the new coach Julian Nagelsmann. How is the quartet going? An overview.

Marc Roca

  • Age: 24
  • Position: Defensive Midfield
  • Minutes used this season: 0
  • Contract until: 2025
  • Situation: There has been an oversupply in the sixth position at least since the arrival of Marcel Sabitzer. And since Corentin Tolisso was not sold, it was already foreseeable before the start of the season that Roca would have a difficult time under Nagelsmann. Currently, the Spaniard, who was signed by Espanyol Barcelona for almost 9 million euros in October 2020, can already book it as a personal success if he makes it into the professional squad on match days.
  • Outlook: If Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka do not suddenly injure each other seriously, a Roca exit in winter is very likely. According to information from SPOX and Goal, both the club and the players are already dealing with this scenario. A loan, but also a sale is possible. However, the left foot is still not lacking in training enthusiasm.

Michael Cuisance

  • Age: 22nd
  • Position: Attacking midfield
  • Minutes used this season: 44
  • Contract until: 2024
  • Situation: After his unsuccessful season on loan at Olympique Marseille, Cuisance should get a probation chance in preparation under Nagelsmann. He didn’t use it – and so the new coaching team quickly came to an agreement without planning the midfielder. However, since a change could no longer be realized, Cuisance is still a training guest on Säbener Straße. Most recently he appeared rather negative by injuring substitute goalkeeper Sven Ulreich.
  • Outlook: Nothing has changed in Bayern’s attitude: the player should be given up. In the summer, according to information from SPOX and Goal only a few clubs from Italy interested in a loan. Those responsible are still looking for a buyer for the 8 million flop that came from Mönchengladbach in 2019.
