Thomas Meunier was increasingly sidelined at Borussia Dortmund last season. The BVB professional has now explained that the style of ex-coach Marco Rose suited him better.
Right-back Meunier is among the candidates Borussia Dortmund would sell if offered a reasonable offer. His contract in Dortmund ends in 2024.
Most recently, he spoke to the Belgian tabloid La Dernière Heure in detail about his change intentions. But the Belgian also gave information about his sporting status at Borussia.
“I found myself more in the Marco Rose style. Then Edin Terzic came back. Edin Terzic doesn’t change a team that wins. And everything worked, so I couldn’t fault him,” said Meunier.
After suffering a broken cheekbone last September, Meunier lost his regular place. Afterwards only rarely was used.
