Thomas Müller comments on the dismissal of Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic at Bayern

As usual, Müller took a moody position on the end of Salihamidzic and Kahn at Bayern Munich.

In his newsletter “esmuellert”, Thomas Müller commented on the departure of CEO Oliver Kahn and sports director Hasan Salihamdizic.

“It is perfectly clear that her release could work like this in the fast-moving football business,” wrote Müller. Now he is “excited to see how it goes on”.

The Munich crowd favorite had seen both Kahn and Salihamidzic as players. Also “I got to know them off the field as people. And so I have and always had a good connection to them. I will definitely meet them both on the golf course.”

In addition, Müller wrote about the season finale of the Bundesliga, which was “dramatically hard to beat”. For the exciting title fight with BVB, which FC Bayern Munich ultimately won, “he loves football. We are all children of the Bundesliga and football. And this final was just amazing.”

Thomas Müller: “Most troubled year of my career”

His team’s decisive game against 1. FC Köln was “a reflection of our mixed second half”. According to Müller, Jamal Musiala’s winning goal to make it 2-1 in the 89th minute was a “world-class goal”.

The championship celebration that followed the day after was “the culmination of what was perhaps the most troubled year of my career,” said Müller. He described the season as “very intense” and emphasized: “On top of that, the chaotic year at FC Bayern.”

Müller will continue to play for Bayern Munich in the coming season after there have been rumors of a departure in recent weeks. The working paper of the 33-year-old runs until 2024.
