Thomas Tuchel apparently wants to bring Mateo Kovacic and Édouard Mendy from Chelsea

Apparently, Thomas Tuchel has chosen his first two transfer targets. Both play at his former club Chelsea.

Apparently, Thomas Tuchel wants to guide two players from Chelsea FC to Säbener Straße. How Calciomercato reports that the new head coach of FC Bayern Munich is trying to get Mateo Kovacic and Édouard Mendy to the German record champions.

According to the report, Chelsea are trying to get several stars off the payroll at the same time. These are said to include the Croatian midfielder and the Senegalese goalkeeper.

As of now, however, it is rather unrealistic for the two blues stars to switch to FCB. Kovacic is an absolute top performer at Chelsea. Mendy had to place himself behind Kepa as the second goalkeeper this season, but Bayern are well-manned in the goalkeeper position with Yann Sommer, Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich.

Kovacic is an undisputed regular at Stamford Bridge and has made 27 competitive appearances, scored two goals and provided one assist this season. Mendy, on the other hand, is mostly on the bench after an injury and only plays eleven games.
