Thomas Tuchel's dream player on the way to Bayern?

Former Chelsea pro Glen Johnson has advised the Blues to sell midfielder Mason Mount, who is also traded with FC Bayern Munich, for a correspondingly high transfer fee.

“I think he would work brilliantly at Bayern. You could understand why Tuchel wants him because he made Mount play his best football back then,” explained Johnson DAZN bet.

Mount was at the heart of the successful Chelsea team under Tuchel that won the Champions League in 2021, the former England international continued. Since then, however, Mount has lost influence with the Blues, which is why Johnson believes that a summer transfer would make sense for both sides.

“Right now I think Chelsea should take the €80m,” said Johnson, who was at Stamford Bridge from 2003 to 2007. “He hasn’t been the same Mason Mount lately and Chelsea could probably use the money after all the expensive signings.”

Mount’s contract with Chelsea expires in 2024. In the current season, the 24-year-old Englishman has mostly been in the Blues’ starting XI, but has rarely been able to completely convince.

Nevertheless, in addition to Bayern, Mount is also very popular with Liverpool FC. According to information from SPOX and GOAL, the Reds are already in talks with the English international about a summer transfer.
