Borussia Dortmund is apparently reacting to the ongoing plight of injuries and is separating from physiotherapist Thomas Zetzmann at the end of the current season. That reports sky.
Borussia Dortmund has already had more than 2,000 lost days this season. Internally, the reasons for the injury concerns are currently being discussed, the separation from Zetztmann is the first consequence.
The 50-year-old has worked for Borussia Dortmund since 2010. In the past he appeared in particular as the personal companion of captain Marco Reus.
Recently, however, he has increasingly relied on other experts after he recovered quickly in the summer of 2020 after an injury break of several months.
“Of course, the large number of injuries has kept us very busy this year,” said Sebastian Kehl recently sports picture: “Knowing that each case has to be considered individually, we still try to recognize patterns, are in the midst of an interdisciplinary analysis and will then make deductions.”

Accordingly, there is no game problem, but a training problem. “Muscle injuries occur when muscles are tired. What I suspect is that the BVB players’ muscles are disproportionately challenged in terms of speed,” explained the expert from the Cologne Sports University.
