BVB apparently has two options with Jadon Sancho. Sports director Sebastian Kehl praises Marco Reus for his decision and calls for an increase in performance from Niklas Süle. You can find all the news and rumors about BVB here.

BVB, rumor: Two options for Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho’s return to BVB is apparently not off the table yet, but remains unrealistic. How sky reported, those responsible in Dortmund are currently considering two scenarios in order to persuade the Englishman to switch back to the black and yellow.

A purchase of Sancho is not in the room. Rather, BVB would deal with a loan deal. This can then be processed either with or without a subsequent purchase option. “These are at least two ideas that BVB is working on. Not intensively, but you have them in your head,” said sky-Reporter Florian Plettenberg.

A transfer would not have the highest priority in Dortmund anyway. Should Sancho be seriously considered, a move would probably only take place towards the end of the transfer window. Sancho doesn’t seem to be thinking about returning at the moment.

The 23-year-old made 137 appearances for BVB between 2017 and 2021 before joining Manchester United. He scored 50 goals and prepared 64 goals.

BVB, News: Sebastian Kehl praises Marco Reus and challenges Niklas Süle

BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl has praised Marco Reus for his decision to step down as captain of Borussia Dortmund. “That shows his size. It shows that he has a very great sense of responsibility for this club,” Kehl said on the sidelines of BVB’s first preparations for the new season.

Nevertheless, Reus is still “an incredibly important player for Borussia Dortmund. He will want to keep going and we will also hold him accountable,” Kehl explained.

At the same time, Kehl made Niklas Süle responsible for the coming season. An increase in performance is expected from the defender, who was recently not called up for the friendly matches of the German national team. “He understood that. I can say that he did a lot more on vacation than everyone else because he simply wanted to prepare better and more intensively for this season,” explained the Dortmund sports director.

“I think he’ll show a reaction. If Niklas stays healthy and works on his issues, he’ll get much, much better,” Kehl sees Süle’s potential for improvement.

BVB, News: Borussia Dortmund promises more summer transfers

Felix Nmecha is already there, Ramy Bensebaini has signed – but Borussia Dortmund wants to make further summer transfers for the next attempt at the championship title in the Bundesliga. “Yes, we will still do something, in one position or another. We are observing the market and thinking a lot about what the profiles will look like in the end,” said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

Even after the sale of Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), the club is pursuing a “planned process with a clear idea and structure – so there is no need to worry: we will have a very, very good team.” Bellingham, for whose eighth position Nmecha was brought in from VfL Wolfsburg, “cannot be replaced by just one player” anyway.

BVB has also signed left-back Bensebaini (formerly Borussia Mönchengladbach). However, Kehl also sees the winter transfers Julien Duranville (RSC Anderlecht) and Ryerson (Union Berlin) as newcomers. The potential in the team is there, he said, “and we believe we can develop further.” It remains to be seen whether “something else will happen on the tax side”.
