VfB Stuttgart - Omar Marmoush reaps penalty criticism: "Doesn't exactly show respect"

Stuttgart’s Omar Marmoush put a Panenka penalty against the crossbar on Saturday evening in the game against his home club VfL Wolfsburg. He then received criticism from Wolfsburg, but also from his own teammates.

The young striker had a great chance to net against his home club and shoot Stuttgart 3-0 in the front. But Marmoush lifted the ball centrally on the crossbar and embarrassed himself in front of the Wolfsburg fans.

He then had to listen to a lot from the sports director of his home club. “I clearly told Marmoush what I thought of it,” added Marcel Schäfer Sky clear.

Striker colleague Philipp Förster also criticized the youngster: “To shoot such a penalty against his ex-club doesn’t show any respect.” Wolfsburg’s captain Casteels, on the other hand, gave Marmoush a wink with a wink: “In Omar’s place, I would have simply hit the ball with his shot quality.”

VfB sponsor is apparently getting out

There was also news about VfB in terms of sponsors: Like them image reports, Kärcher leaves VfB at the end of the season. This means that the partnership between the two companies should end after a proud 17 years.

Last year the cleaning company gave back, among other things, the naming rights to the opposite stand, Kärcher CEO Hartmut Jenner will then also give up his place on the supervisory board.
