Victor Osimhen is ‘eternally grateful’ to Mario Gomez

Eintracht-Frankfurt-Schreck Victor Osimhen from SSC Napoli copied Mario Gomez’s goal-scoring. “I enjoyed watching him. Osimhen, who played with Gomez at VfL Wolfsburg in 2017, had previously sealed Eintracht Frankfurt’s end with a brace in the Champions League round of 16 second leg (3-0).

He was less convincing with the Wolves at the time: “It wasn’t easy for me. But I don’t see it that negatively. Wolfsburg was a very instructive time for me,” said the 24-year-old.

Six years later, the Nigerian is in the quarter-finals of the premier class. In addition, Napoli is also almost unassailable in Serie A and could soon celebrate the first Scudetto in 33 years.

Osimhen has long been on the list of many top clubs: “I don’t know what the future will bring. At the end of the season I’ll sit down with my agents and discuss everything,” said the center forward: “I’m incredibly grateful to Naples. We will find a good solution together.”
