Thomas Müller had to be substituted at half-time against VfL Bochum due to calf problems. Does FC Bayern Munich now have to do without the 2014 world champion against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League? Coach Julian Nagelsmann expressed hope after the victory in the Bundesliga.
Müller had “a little calf problem,” said the football teacher sky. But he believes that it is “nothing bad”. The attacker signaled the pain at the break and, according to Nagelsmann, could have continued playing. But he didn’t want to take any risks.
Leon Goretzka had previously made jokes. “I didn’t speak to him,” he said immediately after the final whistle: “But I know Thomas’ body and I’m not worried about that.” Müller took the 1-0 lead in a tough game and was one of the game’s winners. On Twitter he already announced: “Now full focus on the Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.” In this respect, a deployment of the 33-year-old should be likely.
