New signing Karim Adeyemi mourns former BVB coach Marco Rose.
“I would have gotten along well with Marco Rose, I found him very likeable. But that’s the world of football,” said the 20-year-old SkyAustria. Adeyemi will play for Borussia Dortmund next season and was probably counting on Rose as a coach when he signed. “I didn’t know anything either,” said the attacker, surprised. “If Dortmund decided that way, unfortunately there’s nothing you can do.”
Now the top scorer from the Austrian Bundesliga will probably attack with Edin Terzic as the new trainer in the Bundesliga. Adeyemi has signed a contract until 2027. The forward has scored 19 goals for RB Salzburg this season.
Another newcomer had already commented on the separation from Rose. Nico Schlotterbeck said after losing the cup final against RB Leipzig: “I didn’t think about it that much, but it also came as a surprise to me, but you have to live with it. I had good discussions with him, but they will find a good solution. The Dortmund vision convinced me.”
The RB Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco had a similar experience: “I think it’s crazy, I really have to say. It was very surprising for me,” said the 36-year-old at a press conference before winning the cup.
