Xabi Alonso is reportedly a candidate for West Ham United

Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso is reportedly a topic at West Ham United for a possible successor to current coach David Moyes. That reports the Sun.

Accordingly, those responsible for the English have Alonso on the note that Moyes should be separated at the end of the season.

The 59-year-old Scot still has a contract with West Ham until 2024 and expects to stay. However, things are not going well for the Hammers in the Premier League this season, as table 13. the traditional club is not rid of all relegation worries shortly before the end of the season.

Alonso, meanwhile, has led Leverkusen out of the relegation zone and close to the Champions League spots. When the Spaniard took over in October last year, Bayer were in 17th place – the Werkself were sixth before matchday 29. He also brought Leverkusen to the semi-finals in the Europa League, where AS Roma are now waiting.

Alonso, who coached Real Sociedad’s B team for three years before joining Bayer, is under contract at Leverkusen until 2024. A departure this summer is unlikely anyway – especially if you should actually make it into the Champions League.
