You are asked! Will he remain coach of Eintracht Frankfurt until the DFB Cup final?

It has already been decided that Eintracht Frankfurt and Oliver Glasner will part ways after the DFB Cup final. But will the Austrian really stay in office that long or will it end sooner if there are further defeats in the Bundesliga? It’s your turn: Vote and discuss in the comments.

“After long and intensive talks and a detailed analysis,” said the Eintracht statement on Tuesday, it was decided “to end the collaboration after the 2022/23 season. The sporting development and the overall presentation in the second half of the season prompted the club officials for a new assessment of the status quo.”

Before the second half of the season, Eintracht was still on course for the premier class and had reached the round of 16 in the Champions League. As a result, Glasner received an offer to extend the contract, but he hesitated to sign it.

A rapid drop in performance followed, Eintracht lost sight of the European Cup places after ten games without a win. In the Champions League she had no chance against SSC Napoli. Even the move into the cup final after a anything but sovereign victory against VfB Stuttgart, which was threatened with relegation, does not hide it.

Nevertheless, Glasner has the chance to say goodbye with another title after the triumph in the Europa League last year. Or is Frankfurt perhaps rethinking and reacting earlier than originally planned with a view to the final against RB Leipzig, which is so important in terms of Europe?

In the remaining three Bundesliga games against Mainz 05, Schalke 04 and SC Freiburg, the Hessians have to get back on track as quickly as possible. Does that work with Glasner or does the team need a new impetus to beat Leipzig? In sports director Markus Krösche, the SBU even had a former assistant coach (from Roger Schmidt at Bayer Leverkusen) in their ranks.

Now it’s your turn! Is Glasner still sitting on the Eintracht coaching bench in Berlin or is it over earlier? Discuss in the comments and vote. App users can vote here.
