7 presumably Liverpool's victory celebration

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has apparently taken a special measure to punish his players after the hefty 7-0 defeat at arch-rivals Liverpool.

Again Mirror reported, Hag forced United’s stars to watch Liverpool’s ecstatic victory celebrations together in the dressing room the morning after the game.

In an angry speech, ten Hag also made it clear to his players that they should consider themselves lucky not to have made the short journey home from Liverpool with their own disappointed fans. And the Dutchman apparently threatened that another such embarrassing defeat would require the stars to train with the club’s U21s.

He also wants to schedule more sessions with United’s sports psychologist Rainier Koers in the near future so that the players can better deal with the serious setback.

After the defeat in Liverpool, United must shelve the faint hopes of being able to intervene in the championship fight. Although the Red Devils still have a game to play against leaders Arsenal, they are already 14 points behind the Gunners.

Securing qualification for the Champions League should now be the top priority for ten Hag and Co. In the Premier League, the next opponent is Southampton next Sunday, before that they face Real Betis in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday.
