The champions temporarily took the lead with a 1-0 win at Leicester City on Saturday. Arsenal are now two points ahead again.

Gabriel Martinelli (5′), Reiss Nelson (49′, 53′) with a brace in just four minutes, Thomas Partey (57′) and Martin Ödegaard (78′) scored the goals for team manager Mikel Arteta’s team and ensured the biggest win of the season. Nottingham, who outplayed Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool 1-0 last week, remain bottom with nine points.

Klopp’s Reds and Chelsea suffered defeats on Saturday. Liverpool lost at home to Leeds United, coached by former Leipzig coach Jesse Marsch, 1-2 (1-1), while Chelsea lost to Brighton and Hove Albion 1-4 (0-3). For Chelsea’s team manager Graham Potter it was a bitter return to his old place of work, international Kai Havertz (48th) scored for the Blues with a head.
