Arsenal with a clear derby win against Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal FC is slowly gaining momentum in the English Premier League. With national goalkeeper Bernd Leno on the bench, the ex-champions defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 (3-0) in the London derby and now has nine points after six games.

Emile Smith Rowe (12th), ex-Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (27th) and Bukayo Saka (34th) ensured clear conditions with their goals even before the break.

For Tottenham, which also has nine points after their third defeat of the season, the former Bundesliga striker Heung-Min Son scored (79th).

“We showed great determination, great commitment and a lot of quality today. I really liked that,” said Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta. “You can see that the players believe in what we practice in training – and they have the quality to put it on the pitch.”

Liverpool front – bankruptcies for Chelsea and United

The front runners after six games of the season are Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool FC despite a 3: 3 after two-time lead on Saturday at newly promoted Brentford FC.

The Reds benefited from the defeats of Chelsea, who lost 1-0 to champions Manchester City, and Manchester United, who also lost 1-0 to West Ham United.

Xhaka threatens another break

There was one downer for Arsenal to cope with despite the prestige success. Midfield strategist Granit Xhaka had to leave the field after an unfortunate clash in the 82nd minute.

The Swiss national player appeared to have seriously injured his knee and threatens to be out again after his forced Corona break.
