Campino wants to lure Jürgen Klopp from Liverpool FC to Fortuna Düsseldorf

Campino, the die-hard fan of England’s traditional club FC Liverpool, doesn’t give up and wants to fulfill a big dream. The Toten Hosen frontman wants to lure star coach Jürgen Klopp from Anfield Road to second division side Fortuna Düsseldorf.

“I work on him that he takes over a second division club,” said the singer of the Düsseldorf band of the Düsseldorfer Rheinische Post.

And with a view to Fortuna’s club colors, he added: “If Jürgen wears red and white, that would be nice too.”

Ex-Dortmund and Mainz coach Klopp and Campino know each other well. When asked if he wasn’t worried about the wear and tear at champions FC Bayern that Klopp would soon become a coach in Munich, the 60-year-old Campino said: “I definitely don’t think so. Why should he climb down the ladder again?”

From a global perspective, the Premier League is set up very differently from the Bundesliga: “Besides, Jürgen still has Dortmund in his soul.”
