Chelsea FC signed numerous players in January – seven professionals could leave the Blues next summer.

Chelsea attracted attention in the January transfer window with millions of transfers, and loan deals were also part of the London shopping spree.

In the coming summer, therefore, some players could leave the Blues, a report by Sun according to it, it is mainly about seven prominent names.

Here’s an overview of the alleged sales candidates at Chelsea:

Edouard Mendy | Goal

Mendy is no longer the number one goalkeeper at Chelsea FC and is to report the Sun are therefore on the sales list. The 30-year-old has only made nine appearances in the Premier League this season.

His contract in London runs until 2025, but the Senegalese has not yet been linked with other clubs.

N’Golo Kante | midfield

It is now considered likely that Kanté will leave tenth in the Premier League table in the summer. A hamstring injury recently threw a spanner in the works for the 30-year-old, and the Frenchman has only played 175 minutes this season.

As the Times reported, PSG is keeping a close eye on the 31-year-old’s contract situation – the working paper of the 2018 world champion at Chelsea expires in the summer of 2023. Liverpool have also been said to be interested in the midfielder – Kanté will most likely find a new club.

Conor Gallagher | midfield

Conor Gallagher returned to Chelsea in the summer after a loan from Crystal Palace, but has not really impressed since then and is also said to be a candidate for sale. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had reported that Everton FC is said to have made an offer of around 51 million euros to Chelsea FC in the winter transfer window. The 22-year-old’s contract expires in 2025.

Ruben Loftus Cheek | midfield

Loftus-Cheek is not doing well this season either, and he could also leave London in the summer. The midfielder’s deal expires in 2024, but Chelsea have the option to extend the contract by a year.

Newcastle United have already been reported to be interested in the 27-year-old Brit. Especially after the transfer of Enzo Fernández, Loftus-Cheek should have bad prospects of playing in the future.

Kalidou Koulibaly | defense

It is quite surprising that Koulibaly is included in this list. The 31-year-old only switched from SSC Napoli to Chelsea last summer for 38 million euros. Since then, the Senegalese has been a part of the Blues, but internally they are apparently not satisfied with the central defender’s performance.

So it’s quite possible that Koulibaly will soon be looking for a new club. His market value is currently 35 million euros, the contract runs until 2026.

Marc Cucurella | defense

The next summer signing, for which the Chelsea chapter could end after a year. Cucurella has also not shown convincing performances at Stamford Bridge to date, although the Spaniard is used regularly.

As a reminder, a whopping €65.3m was transferred to Brighton last year to secure the left-back’s services. Accordingly, Cucurella was also given a long-term contract that does not expire until 2028.

Hakim Ziyech | midfield

Probably the most obvious personal detail when it comes to saying goodbye: A dramatic deadline day ended unsuccessfully for Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan was set to move to PSG, but in the end the necessary documents were only submitted to the French league after the transfer deadline had passed.

Whether the French champions will try again at Ziyech remains questionable for the time being. The fact is, however, that the 29-year-old should be quite disappointed if his transfer failed. What’s more, he’s far from seeded under Graham Potter, registering just one assist in 610 minutes of action. Ziyech’s contract expires in 2025 – but all parties should already be preparing for a change in the summer.
