Christian Pulisic will probably leave Chelsea in the summer. Some well-known clubs are associated with the former Dortmund player.

Christian Pulisic reported back to Chelsea just in time for the reunion with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening. The US international was recently absent from the Blues with knee problems, but at the final press conference coach Graham Potter confirmed that the attacking player is back in the squad against BVB.

Pulisic was not in the starting lineup for the duel at Stamford Bridge – as is so often the case. Pulisic is not a regular player, and little has changed since the change of coach from Thomas Tuchel to Potter.

And the prospects of a regular place have not necessarily increased in recent weeks. During Chelsea’s lavish January buying spree, several players were signed for big bucks to fill Pulisic’s positions on the attacking flanks. For example Mykhaylo Mudryk (70 million euros) and Noni Madueke (35 million euros), Atlético loan João Félix can also be used there.

So what’s next for Pulisic, who came to London from Dortmund in 2019 for a fee of 64 million euros and whose contract expires in 2024? A summer farewell is likely, according to one telegraphreport, Pulisic’s name is on the cross-off list. Appropriately, rumors of a change have been circulating for months. SPOX summarizes them.

Christian Pulisic and AC Milan

Reported a few weeks ago Calciomercato, the Rossoneri would have targeted Pulisic. Basically, a Milan interest makes sense. There, the medium-term future of Rafael Leão is still uncertain. His contract runs until 2024.

So far, Milan attempts to extend it have failed. At the same time, the Portuguese is traded as a newcomer to several top clubs in the summer.

Pulisic would be a top-class replacement who, with his dribbling skills, fits in well with Stefano Pioli’s concept. Chelsea want to part with some players and that should include Pulisic, but he shouldn’t be a bargain. Chelsea’s transfer fee is said to be around 35 million euros and therefore too high for Milan.

Christian Pulisic and Newcastle United

reported in December ESPN, three clubs from the Premier League would be interested in the 24-year-old: In addition to Arsenal and Manchester United, Newcastle United were also mentioned. This did not become concrete in January, but the matter could pick up new momentum in the summer.

Newcastle are having a strong season and, sixth in the table, are fighting for a place in international competition. It is considered certain that the financially well-equipped traditional club will do well on the transfer market in the summer. A well-known reinforcement a la Pulisic would only be appropriate.

The lively attacker would be a good addition to Eddie Howe’s current offensive stars Miguel Almirón, Alexander Isak, Callum Wilson and Anthony Gordon.

Christian Pulisic and Juventus

Italy’s record champions Juventus are said to have made contact with Pulisic and his entourage last fall. At Calciomercato there was talk of a first meeting and the exploration of a possible transfer in the summer of 2023. Pulisic has been a preferred candidate for the Bianconeri for a long time, it was said.

However, it is unlikely that the fundamental interest will also result in a transfer. Juventus are well occupied on the wing positions with Filip Kostic and Federico Chiesa. In addition, world champion Ángel Di María is to extend his expiring contract for another season, as club director Francesco Calvo recently announced.

Hard to imagine that the financially stricken old lady would spend a lot of money on another winger. Especially since the squad still has a few other construction sites.

Christian Pulisic and Manchester United

Reports of Manchester United’s alleged interest in Pulisic have been wafting through the media landscape since last summer. reported in August The Athletic, the Red Devils are thinking about bringing the 2021 Champions League winner to Old Trafford on loan. The Daily Mail followed up a little later and wrote of a possible swap deal between Pulisic and United’s central defender Harry Maguire.

This topic boiled up again at the end of November when ESPN reported that Pulisic is a possible successor to Cristiano Ronaldo. At the time it was also said that the 24-year-old was now actively looking to leave Stamford Bridge and that his advisors were said to have offered him to other clubs.

United should be an interesting alternative for Pulisic, and vice versa. But: The Red Devils will probably want to strengthen their storm with a prominent striker and the 1.79 meter high-class technician is not such a person.

Christian Pulisic and BVB

In the summer, a report from the Spanish mark for vortex. According to an article, Borussia Dortmund “kept an eye” on Pulisic and a return to the Bundesliga was “an option”.

But nothing came of this option. Dortmund brought Karim Adeyemi from Salzburg for a lot of money and had no need for another expensive winger. Will that change next season? Rather unlikely.

However, Pulisic, who played in black and yellow for four years, no longer fits into Borussia’s loot scheme and is likely to be too expensive as a whole. In addition, BVB has not really had good experiences with return campaigns in recent years.

Christian Pulisic and Atlético

A trail also leads to Madrid. A quite spectacular swap deal between Atlético and Chelsea is under discussion. The blues would like to keep João Félix on loan and loud DailyMirror try to make a permanent transfer of the Portuguese palatable to the Rojiblancos with a barter deal. In this case, Atleti’s object of desire is Pulisic.

The American certainly has advantages in pressing and switching games and could therefore suit Diego Simeone’s football. In addition, Atlético is a club that likes to arrange one or the other barter deal.

Christian Pulisic and Arsenal FC

In the ESPN report mentioned here several times, Premier League leaders Arsenal were also mentioned as a possible new club Pulisics. A change within London would certainly be explosive, but for former Gunners hero Emmanuel Petit it would be a ‘perfect match’.

Petit introduced a few weeks ago football betting from: “Pulisic is a perfect fit for what Arteta wants. He loves to play one-touch football, he moves well and he lives in London. That would be an easy move.” Pulisic also gives him an “unhappy” impression at Chelsea.

Arsenal’s offensive is already strong, but with Pulisic it would be even more difficult to calculate. A wing clamp Saka / Pulisic, that would undoubtedly have something and would be a challenge with a view to the likely participation in the Champions League.
