Goalkeeper David de Gea is leaving Manchester United on a free transfer this summer. The Red Devils officially announced this on Saturday afternoon.
De Gea’s contract with England expired on June 30th. Now it is finally clear that the 32-year-old will no longer play for United.
Where de Gea will continue his career is still open. Most recently, he was associated with a move to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
De Gea moved from Atlético Madrid to Manchester in 2011 for 25 million euros.
In twelve years he completed a total of 545 competitive games for United. Achievements during this period include the English championship title in 2013 and winning the Europa League in 2017.
