Team manager Ralf Rangnick harshly criticized the players of the English record champions Manchester United after the difficult 3: 2 (2: 1) against bottom Norwich City.
“No other team in the league” give such gifts as his eleven in the two goals against, said the 63-year-old: “Everyone saw the game and everyone knows what kind of team we will play against on Tuesday.”
Then United will meet their eternal rivals Liverpool FC at Anfield (9 p.m.). “They just beat Man City, they’re in the cup final and they might have a chance to win four trophies this season. If we play like we do today, it will be very difficult to get even a point,” Rangnick said.
Above all, his team must be “much better when the opponent is in possession of the ball”. With two major dropouts, Manchester lost a 2-0 lead against Norwich, but in the end superstar Cristiano Ronaldo saved the win with his third goal. This is three points behind the last place in the Champions League.
