Erling Haaland has played without a kit deal in the past few months. Now he seems drawn back to his old partner.
The mystery of Erling Haaland’s new outfitter appears to be about to be resolved. How The Athletic reported, the Norwegian has now made his decision and will soon sign a new contract – with his old supplier Nike.
The Manchester City goalscorer was under contract with the US sporting goods giant until January 2022. At that time, the Norwegian was still under contract with Borussia Dortmund.
Since then, Haaland has alternately played with shoes from adidas, Puma and Nike.
Of course, Haaland will not appear in Nike shoes for nothing. According to the report, he should receive 22 million euros per year for this.
Haaland only switched from Borussia Dortmund to the Citizens last summer for around 60 million euros. His contract there runs until 2027. The striker is the undisputed top performer at the PL club – he scored 33 goals in 33 competitive games in 2022/23. Last weekend he became the first player in Skyblues history to score 27 goals in a Premier League season – and it’s far from over.
