Manchester City have confirmed Foden’s trip ahead of the Three Lions’ 2-0 European Championship qualifier against Ukraine at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday. In addition, he will certainly not be available for next Saturday’s game against Liverpool.
The Citizens also stated that it is currently “unclear” how long Foden will be out in total.
City meets FC Bayern in the quarterfinals of the Champions. The first leg takes place on April 11th at the Etihad Stadium before the return leg on April 19th at the Allianz Arena.
In addition to Foden, who has already played 36 competitive games for Pep Guardiola’s team this season (13 goals, 6 assists), the Skyblues are also worried about star striker Erling Haaland, who also missed Norway’s European Championship qualifiers. He’s suffering from a groin injury.
