Frustrated Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang jets to Milan

Chelsea apparently want to get rid of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He is not nominated for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Chelsea’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is loud TheTelegraph “shocked and disappointed” to be dropped from the Blues’ Champions League squad for the knockout stages. Accordingly, the former BVB striker suspects that he should be pushed out of the club.

Unlike Aubameyang, three January signings, Enzo Fernández, Mykhailo Mudryk and João Félix, have been called up to team manager Graham Potter’s Champions League squad. The attacker was also absent from the squad for Friday night’s Premier League game against Fulham (0-0).

Aubameyang then fled to Milan. His brother Willy posted a photo of himself and his siblings – including Pierre-Emerick – with their children in front of Milan Cathedral on Instagram and wrote “Family”. It is not known whether Chelsea have approved Aubameyang’s trip.

Aubameyang has only scored three goals in the 17 games he has played for the Blues since arriving from Barcelona in September.

After leaving Arsenal FC, Aubameyang moved to FC Barcelona in early 2022. The 33-year-old from Gabon scored 13 goals in 24 appearances for the Spaniards. However, he left the Blaugrana after just half a season and joined Chelsea. From 2013 to 2018 he played successfully at Borussia Dortmund.
