Rafaela Pimenta, Erling Haaland’s advisor, believes the Manchester City striker could become the first player ever to break the €1 billion transfer fee mark.
“Erling Haaland is worth a billion euros. That’s not an estimate. That’s for sure. Many might now say that I’m ridiculous and no club will ever pay a billion. But his age, quality, development and behavior are the reason I’m talking about the billion,” said Pimenta in an interview with the French broadcaster TF1.
The Norwegian is hardly influenced by all the trappings, the star consultant continues. Haaland is a “simple guy” who “does not see himself as important”.
Haaland is one of the top performers at Manchester City this season. The 22-year-old has scored 32 goals in 31 games this season. In the past few weeks, however, criticism of the Norwegian had arisen.
TV expert Dietmar Hamann described Manchester City as “a better team without Haaland, even if he scores 40 goals this season”.
