Maria KeaneFormer international goalkeeper Rene Adler describes Julian Nagelsmann’s position as team manager at Tottenham Hotspur as “a very good opportunity”.
The Premier League club is a “top club” with a “top infrastructure with a stadium and training ground, plus financial opportunities for a rebuild, even without a premier class,” said Adler table football-Interview.
According to media reports, Nagelsmann is considered a hot candidate for Spurs after his dismissal from Bayern Munich at the end of March. “In the end you had defensive-minded coaches, and they offered sometimes destructive football. That could be concealed as long as the results were right, nobody really enjoyed it. But if Nagelsmann came along now, someone who plays offensively and wants possession of the ball, that would be the case spark a spirit of optimism,” said Adler.
Nagelsmann had recently been traded as a candidate for the struggling Chelsea FC, but is said to have canceled the Londoners according to consistent media reports. Tottenham are looking for a coach after the separation from Antonio Conte. The team, which is sixth in the Premier League with three games to go, is currently being coached by interim coach Ryan Mason.
