Like David Beckham once did? Ex-BVB star in conversation as the new figurehead of the MLS

Former US international Alexi Lalas has discussed a spectacular transfer for Christian Pulisic. If Lalas have their way, MLS club LA Galaxy should sign the Chelsea striker and thus set a similar example as the Californians did in 2007 with the transfer of David Beckham.

On Twitter The 52-year-old wrote on Pulisic’s future: “I think Pulisic will have some good options in Europe. But if LA Galaxy want to behave like a top club again, the club should look for him and use him like Beckham, to make a statement.”

Back then, Beckham was the first real superstar to move from Real Madrid to Los Angeles, triggering a boom in MLS. After him, other top players played for Galaxy with Steven Gerrard and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Pulisic is under contract with Chelsea until 2024. He has not been a regular at the Londoners for some time and is likely to leave this summer after a string of costly transfers over the past two transfer windows.

Rumors of change about the 24-year-old have been circulating for months. In a fresh report she writes Daily Mailthat the two Serie A top clubs Juventus and Napoli are interested in his commitment.

Pulisic moved to Borussia Dortmund from the Pennsylvania Classics on a free transfer in early 2015. Four years later, BVB sold him to Chelsea for 64 million euros.

This season, the right winger completed 21 competitive games for the Londoners. The 57-time US international scored one goal and provided two assists.
