Maria KeaneTeam manager Jürgen Klopp can continue to rely on his left-back Andy Robertson at Liverpool FC. As the fifth regular player and service provider, the Scot signed a new contract. As the Reds announced on Tuesday, the 27-year-old has also agreed to a “long-term” extension.
Previously, the top English club had tied defenders Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk as well as goalkeeper Alisson and midfielder Fabinho. The club did not provide any information about the contract period for any of the five players. According to media reports, Robertson should have signed by 2026.
“I want to stay with this club as long as possible,” said Robertson. Therefore he is “glad that the journey continues”. Klopp recently emphasized how important it is to keep top performers. With the exception of Ibrahima Konate from Leipzig, Liverpool have held back on the transfer market.
