Liverpool FC initially without Thiago

Team manager Jürgen Klopp from Liverpool FC has to do without Thiago again. Klopp’s assistant Pepijn Lijnders confirmed that the former Munich (30) will be absent from the league cup at Norwich City (Tuesday) and the Premier League at FC Brentford (Saturday) because of his calf injury.

Thiago was injured in the Reds’ 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend. How long it will be exactly, should show further investigations. “It’s a shame because he has come in better and better recently,” said Lijnders about the injury.

Thiago appeared in five of Liverpool’s six competitive games this season. In his first season he was only in 30 of 52 games on the field. Due to a knee injury and corona disease, he was out twice longer.
